Get Involved

Constable DeForest encourages residents to become familiar with basic safety procedures by always staying alert when out in the community. Keep your mind on your surroundings, who’s in front of you and who’s behind you. At night, walk purposefully, stand tall, and make eye contact with people around you. If you feel uncomfortable in a situation, leave.

He encourages parents to become familiar online safety for their kids. Parents should teach their kids not to share personal information online and to make sure their screen name does not include personal information like their last name. Kids should never post photos or videos online that would provide personal information such as their real name or address.

He also encourages residents to get to know their neighbors and local officers by attending National Night Out or events posted on the Montgomery County Pct. 2 Constable Facebook page.
